About Us
Who are we?
The Laser Sports Academy was founded by three individuals across Australia:
Ben ‘Bootza’ Baker from Brisbane, Queensland,
Ryan ‘Holmes’ Holmes from Adelaide, South Australia &
Lachlan ‘Spyder’ Whittington from Sydney, New South Wales.
These 3 individuals were united in their dream for laser sporting to become more than what it is today, looking to a future where people within the community can make a career out of what they love and a sport that may one day become internationally recognised by the mainstream. Like all big undertakings, it starts with those first few steps, or the initial stone laid for the foundation; and that’s where we are now.

Connecting communities
One of the main goals for us is to connect the global community and to help budding enthusiasts to find a community near them. We hope to achieve that through this website by providing an updated calendar of upcoming Laser Sports events, links to streams and socials for the groups and organisations as well as a page for finding which sites support Laser Sports.

Teaching the sport
Whilst there has been bits and pieces of content throughout the years covering our sport we have yet to have a platform that provides content consistently and frequently and that’s the gap that we are aiming to fill. The type of content we are looking to create is interviews with players, teams, tournament officials and site operators, coverage of tournaments across the globe, instructionals for players of varying experience levels and teams wanting to take things to the next level, as well as teaching people how to become tournament officials themselves, referees, running a league and more!

This is just the beginning of what the Laser Sports Academy wishes to accomplish, the first steps on what we hope to be a long, fruitful and exciting journey that we would love to share with you.
